Yet more proof that MLK was right when he said, “The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.”

These United States were founded by white Christians who owned other human beings and burned suspected witches at the stake… normal and acceptable in prior centuries, now considered barbarous.

Progress toward acceptance and inclusivity for LGBTQ+ folks has come belated, but at a surprisingly rapid pace… and all within my adulthood. The reactionary resistance is a natural part of cultural evolution. As discouraging and heartbreaking as it might be these days, thanks in no small part to those who persist in challenging any and all marginalization and discrimination, the human race is evolving.
