Yet another way Trump has fractured the unanimity of the R party. Pence and Pompeo would be far more useful to the Christian Nationalist theocrats. But, they will never get sufficient MAGA support to get the nomination. DeSantis is laying the groundwork with his bigoted policies… but he has the charisma of a banana slug. It’s gonna be interesting to see what comes out in the wash.
