Yes, this is a very real issue. Guys (and I imagine, women, too) have a responsibility to be open and honest about their marital status with potential same-sex dates. I know that a number of gay men have had their hearts broken by closeted married men who make promises they can't keep and use them for sex, then go back home to wives and kids.
