Yes. I’m aware that the queer community is often cliquish and myopic in its own ways (and can be somewhat incestuous).

Then again… No situation is ideal. In my case, the need (or necessity, for the sake of my mental health) to be among people of similar sensibilities tips the scale. It’s always a balancing act, isn’t it. I hope that you, too, find peace in your pursuit of place.
