Yes. But the key word here is “implicit.” Because, in spite of that all-too-common, simplistic implication, being abnormal or acting in abnormal ways doesn’t automatically make a person defective. In fact, abnormal can actually mean exceptional or superior.

The ultimate lesson is there is no “normal” or “abnormal” out of context. And presumed standards of normalcy vary wildly within any given context.
