Writing this piece has given me an opportunity for some deep self-reflection. While I'm happy to be making progress toward accepting my real. whole self and acknowledging my vulnerabilities and essential needs, I wonder if we ever really know ourselves, or if we're always playing a role... either the role we've written for ourselves, or the one we think everyone else expects us to play.
