Wow, Jim. Thanks for sharing your own personal experience within the military. I'm sure there are millions of similar stories that will never be told. For my part, I evaded conscription by being honest about my sexuality, depression, and drug use at my draft interview. Then, I ran away with the rock n roll circus and proceeded to continue my debauched ways. Fellow Travelers... different paths.
