Wow, Jan. Such incredible honesty and vulnerability here. I can definitely relate, after attending to my powerhouse of a mother as she disappeared into the yaw of Alzheimer’s. I can only hope to pass on with some dignity left intact. My greatest fear is going the way my parents did and having to ask my own children to bear the burden of my absolute dependency.
