Why, then, doesn't the omnipotent deity make sure that times are never tough? (It really shouldn't be this easy to shoot a hole through such illogical logic.)

Then again, faith and logic were never all that compatible anyway. Maybe they should save drawing logical conclusions for those who actually know what logic is and how to use it (like, maybe, scientists).
