When so many religious institutions and churches have covered up the actual long-term sexual manipulation and abuse by clergy, it seems particularly curious that this happened as it did. No specific complaint from victims or charges made? Yet, this church seizes an employee's phone, reads his texts, infers "bad thoughts" and fires the guy?

I mean, surely, sexual abusers should be rooted out from positions of influence and authority. But, the way this happened seems dubious. Hopefully, there will be some clarification forthcoming.

At this juncture, I feel the compunction to congratulate Aaron and Jamie for what appears to be a successful, loving mixed-orientation marriage and for demonstrating that family doesn't have to adhere to the hetero-normative script. At least, that's what it looks like from here. And, I hope that to be true.
