This writer deigns to equate "innocence" with a verdict of "not guilty." Sorry, "Stephen.".. Not the same thing — in any way, shape or form.
Then, he uses the same faulty criteria to condemn a human being who died in the fracus, whose guilt or "innocence" in any other prior situation had nothing whatsoever to do with the situation in which he lost his life.
Finally, this trial wasn't about race. It was to determine whether one person was guilty or not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of murder. ANTIFA and BLM were not on trial. The entire substance was about one man killing two other men and seriously wounding another. Making it into anything else is unwarranted, regardless of where your bias resides.
Sideline... How it could possibly be "a win for America's legal system" that an underaged punk got away scott free with acquiring a semi-automatic long rifle illegally through a straw man, then crossing state lines with that weapon to "protect property" in another state, is beyond me.
