There is added irony to DeSantis paraphrasing a refrain from Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall,” the lyric of which begins with: “We don’t need no education. We don’t need no thought control.”

The right has a penchant for twisting language so that certain words either mean the opposite of their true definitions or are rendered totally meaningless. As a purveyor of the mother tongue, it disturbs me when the tools of my trade are treated with such deliberate disregard. “Liberty?” Who do these moms think they’re fooling with this hateful crap?
