The youth and young adults of today have all the divisiveness of the 60s and 70s, the hyper inflation of the late 70s and early 80s, plus environmental catastrophe, the resurgence of racism and misogyny and xenophobia, without the hope and creative inspiration of the 60s and 70s. We had brilliant artists to inspire us back then. Today, “creativity” is AI deconstructing and recycling everything that came before. As much as I hate getting old, I wouldn’t want to be young in these times.
