Thanks for shedding light on our own self-deception. I wonder what it's like for a young queer actor in a touring company today. When a company passes through a town in the heartland, are they able to feel a sense of security or find community? Are there coffee shops with rainbow flags? Or, for our own survival, our self-protection, have we gone back to a time of secret signals and coded behaviors?
