We can only hope that Nex's martyrdom will lead to greater acceptance and that stochastic terrorists will begin tempering their hateful language. I know that sounds pollyanna-ish. But, as horrific as Matthew Shepard's murder was, it did draw attention to gay bashing and ultimately helped win over public opinion.

We must be vigilant and spread the word about this and those responsible must be held accountable. Otherwise, Nex's tragic death would have have been in vain.
