Sometimes it’s healthier not knowing what people say behind our backs. Some of my biggest regrets in life are having made insensitive jokes because I thought a certain audience would share the humor and my status would be enhanced. I’m ashamed knowing that, on rare occasions, I’ve pandered to the lowest common denominator. I take much more care these days to be respectful and sensitive. Nobody’s perfect after all.
