So many gay Mormons have lived in shame. So many have been ostracized by their families and the LDS community. Many have taken their own lives. We can only hope that this one out and proud queer Mormon man will give others strength to live their truth.

I was taken with this talented singer during his American Idol season and extremely disappointed that he didn't win. (As I recall, he was runner up to a far less talented, run-of-the-mill, soft-rocker) I'll never forget the episode when the final three contestants were documented returning to their hometowns. David looked out from his limo at the swarming crowd and said, "Gee! Where did all these people park?"
