Sick thought: Had Cruz did to Trump what Smith did to Rock, I truly believe Republicans would have swooned over his valor and given him the 2016 nomination.

Trump would have skulked off in shame. Hillary would have been elected. Merrick Garland would be sitting on the SCOTUS bench. Etc.

Ted Cruz is a reprehensible human being. Unfortunately, for America and the world, his masculinity lacked sufficient toxicity to knock Trump out. Damn!
