Reminds me of seeing Jimi Hendrix in Philadelphia, as an 18-year-old college freshman in 1967. At concert's end, I found myself unable to stand up for quite a while, due to a very persistent, rock-hard erection. At the time, I was ambivalent about pursuing a career in rock music or theater. Two years later, after a single season as an acting intern at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, I had joined a band called Roxy, signed to Elektra Records... thus, the beginning of a 45-year professional career in the bizness of popular music. And I never returned to the theatrical stage.
