Nothing more exasperating than someone informing me that the identity I’ve claimed for decades is no longer valid… declaring that, in essence, I’m not me after all. The myriad terms addressing gender and sexuality have become a tangled word salad. How one identifies is personal and no one has the right to make such determinations for anyone else.
