My suspicion is that anyone who would abandon Mrs. Maisel for Yellowstone (as if one has to choose) has a screw loose.
I've been a die-hard Succession devotee since the first episode. It's simply one of the finest television shows ever... rivaling The West Wing for #1 on my all-time list. Season 4, Episode 3 (in which showrunner Jesse Armstrong surprised the world with Logan Roy's sudden demise and focuses on the confusion and emotional turmoil of his heirs coming to grip with this shocking reality) is already considered a classic.
I remember the first time I saw Peter Friedman... in one of my favorite sleeper films The Savages. His character was having an affair with Laura Linney's character (wanna-be writer Wendy Savage) excusing his dalliances by telling his wife that he was going out to walk the dog. I've always noticed him since... he is a very interesting actor.
Seems like it's more common than ever that actors have roles in several series at the same time. How many series has Molly Shannon been in over the last several years, or Natasha Lyonne, or Billy Crudup, or Adam Scott, or Katherine Hahn??? Every one of them is always great, regardless of the role, and they all choose their projects well. Their involvement usually compels me to check out the show. Used to be that an actor was forever attached to one public identity... their character in a TV series. Not anymore.
