Majority opinion no longer factors into the American equation. And, thanks to the electoral college, the grossly disproportionate distribution of representation in the Senate and the misuse of the filibuster, the majority of votes is less and less important to those who make the laws. And, if those factors weren’t enough to cement a tyranny of the minority, sowing distrust in elections seals the deal.

It’s an insidious plot that has poisoned the judicial branch with incompetent ideologues. To boot… No court can find Alito or Coney-Barrett guilty of perjury in their nomination hearings, when they swore their allegiance to precedent. No court can force Thomas to recuse on issues that directly affect his radical wife.

The majority, who support women’s reproductive and LGBTQ+ rights, racial justice, and sane firearms regulations must stand up to Christian nationalists and greedy, wanna-be autocrats. The time is now… or never!
