I've heard Ted Serandos say that it's about providing creative freedom to the performers. Folks can choose not to watch, all that gobbledeegook. I know nothing about the working environment at Netflix. I was disturbed by the preponderance of homophobic "humor" in this particular show. But I was more disturbed at the audience's laughter, their tacit endorsement of all the cruel, insensitive, lowbrow jokes. These were big celebs in the audience, Hollywood folks and superstar athletes. It was like the last 30 years hadn't happened.
