It goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway)… attempted murder is both illegal and immoral, regardless of the parties involved or how they identify gender or sexual orientation-wise. Violent, premeditated revenge of this sort especially has to be adjudicated and the perpetrators must be held responsible for their despicable acts.

There is no other story to be told in a court of law, no justification for such heinous behavior. There is only one victim in this scenario. Any media that even suggests otherwise should be called out and shamed.
