Interesting that the writer chooses the word “event” (multiple times) rather than “experience.” I wonder why. An event seems literal and objective, while an experience is more emotional and subjective. An event can be documented. It’s more likely to have been witnessed, whereas an experience doesn’t depend on documentation and can be very private. I don’t make this comment out of skepticism, but out of curiosity. Was this distinction intentional?
