In my opinion, this statement is both simplistic and inaccurate. The Closer is a disappointment, yes. It’s sad that one of comedy’s most brilliant talents feels compelled to spend an hour — for which is being paid handsomely — whining about being persecuted for his erroneous ideas about gender. Especially when he brought the flak on himself.
Then, to defend himself by exploiting the death of a friend and by touting his generosity to the friend’s orphaned daughter? Low. But, hey, at least he hasn’t quoted MLK like Aaron Rogers did… Gotta give him that.
