I wonder if the scorn some secular gays have for gay people of faith feels like erasure. Or, if you get the feeling that secular gays think you can't be truly queer (in every sense of the word) if you still believe in and continue to practice Christianity. I do know that millions of queer and trans Christians share similar conflicts. It's difficult enough to come out and live life as one's authentic self. Adding the stigma and the baggage of faith has got to make it much more of a challenge.
