I honestly believe there is a difference between truth and fact. Truth, from my perspective, is relative, while fact is what actually is. Religion and/or faith requires a “knowing,” a gut feeling that reaffirms a personal truth that cannot be proven factually.

A person can have a knowing about the meaning of life or the existence of God. And, while that might be that individual’s truth, it can’t be called fact. The only fact in that scenario is that a person of faith has a knowing and believes that knowing to be true. Their personal truth, however, is not the fact. I hope that doesn’t sound like gobbledygook. Peace.
