I find LOL so very tiresome and pandering. Yes, it is often important in the social network world to indicate one's "tone of voice" as to not have some snarky comment be misinterpreted and therefore offend. But, to me — and, this applies to all genders — LOL is self-congratulatory. It's either a humble brag about the writer's glibness, or about their ability to perceive humor where others might miss it. I've never used HA HA HA, nor have I noticed anyone else using it. For me, a wink emoji works just fine. Maybe I should start manning up. What d'ya think?
