I envy your certainty about what God is, what God feels, and what God’s intentions are. Personally, I don’t have sufficient ego to be certain about such things. And, believe me, I’m fine with that.

However, I do think think that even an emotionless God (or, rather, an indescribable, incomprehensible, creative God Force) must absolutely be capable of understanding and empathizing with the emotional struggles of life… experienced by ALL living creatures, not just human beings.

Isn’t the emotional God to whom you refer Yahweh of the Old Testament and not the loving Christian God of forgiveness introduced in the New Testament? It seems to me that, by insisting on describing an angry, jealous, joyful God who hates evil, laughs, and mourns, you are providing evidence to prove my case: that many humans are incapable of fathoming God, unless God exhibits human qualities. It’s human ego that envisions a humanlike God.

I give God enough credit, latitude, respect, and awe to not apply such limitations on Creation. Peace.
