I don’t want to argue about this, Jim. But, regardless of how people use it, any word that begins with the syllable “bi” refers to two things, not all things. So, if people are using that word to refer to more than two things, they are using the word inaccurately and incorrectly.

I have received criticism for identifying as bi because, according to woke speak, that must mean that I believe humans are limited to two sexes. I don’t believe that. I have described myself as bi because I am only attracted to and have only had sexual relations with cis-gender persons who possess male or female physiology. Because of that misunderstanding (and bi erasure from the gay community) I have become more comfortable with queer identity.

And, the very fact that you think woke folks might feel slighted by my reference to them in this purely playful, tongue-in-cheek way simply reinforces my point. A lot of wokeness is about policing language and totally lacks any sense of humor. It ain’t my style to tread lightly to avoid stepping on overly sensitive toes, especially when the self-appointed word police are using a word incorrectly, while accusing me of beliefs I don’t have. Peace.
