I can so relate. I was having issues with driving at night. Then, after visiting Mom in the hospital, 50 miles away, on a December day when darkness fell at about 4:30 pm, I lost track of time. I hit a curb, blew a tire and bent a rim. Then, after getting roadside service, I had to drive the 50 miles home on a remote, two-lane highway (on a miniature spare). About five miles from home, I nearly missed a curve, and skidded to a stop a few inches from the guard rail. No more driving at night for this guy... So, count your blessings. I no longer have a wife to take the wheel after dark.
