Fundamentalism is the problem — when the so-called "religious" begin believing and preaching that their God is the only God and their way is the only way. If they made the effort to go back to the actual fundamentals of religious thought, they would discover that every faith is rooted in love and charity and acceptance. And, it ain't their job to judge and condemn other mere mortals. Much better to leave that judgmental condemnation shit up to the God they purport to believe in (but, evidently, can't trust enough to let Him/Her/It do its job).
