From my experience and perspective, the inflexibility of certain factions within the trans community is more divisive and alienating to fellow LGBTQ folks like me than to the normative crowd. I agree that more awareness and care should be taken as to not make an already difficult situation even worse. It’s easy for me to say, being a queer cis man… but sometimes I find it difficult to be the kind of ally I’d like to be because my perspective seems so unwelcome.
