Chappelle is not "a good comedian." He's a comic genius. As was George Carlin, who also devolved in his later years into an obnoxious, unfunny curmudgeon. Dennis Miller (not a genius, but once a witty, bright monologist) went a similar route. And, now, I'm afraid we're losing Bill Maher to self-righteous egomania. Perhaps this is a syndrome. Interesting that Cosby leapt to Chappelle's defense. But, that's another story.
