Being cognizant of the threat of child sexual abuse is an unfortunate necessity. However, connoting nudity with child sexual abuse is not. As we all know, child sexual abuse is far more likely to happen in the home or behind closed doors at school or church, perpetrated by a family member or a person of authority, not by a stranger in a locker room at the gym.

And, yet, in the women's locker room at the rec center, there have been complaints about masculine appearing females exposing themselves because mothers think they pose a threat to their daughters.

Meanwhile, fathers bring their 3 and 4-year-old daughters into the men's locker room, which makes me uncomfortable... because my exposure to them might make me suspect. (I get the necessity of fathers bringing their little girls into the locker room. I have two daughters. Sometimes it's what a dad's gotta do. But societal awareness of sexual abuse of children makes this an awkward, uncomfortable situation.)
