As you well know, Texas has been the primary culprit in the white washing of American history. Because of the size of its population, their ideas of what should and should not be taught wield an undue influence on the content of public school text books. And, now they are actually trying to eliminate MLK, Rosa Parks, and Caesar Chavez from their so-called “history” curriculum. Teaching “Patriotic History” is part of the Republican platform.
