As a cis-gender bisexual man, I've been derided by other gay men who believe that identifying as bi is a copout to avoid admitting one is gay and an excuse to use other gay men for sex without emotional attachment.

By the same token, when I've tried to clarify my bi identity by explaining that I've only ever been sexually attracted to cis-gender women and cis-gender men, some trans folks have taken offense... this, evidently, because they believe I'm making presumptions about who is cis and who is not and/or exhibiting anti-trans bias.

I know my cross to bear is featherweight compared to the load trans people carry. But, still, it's frustrating that the sexually diverse community has so many prejudices and conflicts within it, especially when we are under attack from religious conservatives around the world. A house divided cannot stand.
